TOTAL SPORTS RADIO took to the local AM broadcast airways of the Baton Rouge Louisiana as a sports talk radio program in early 2003.

From the beginning I attempted to purchase additional air time to provide area listeners with local sports events. Surprisingly, this proved difficult. Getting the powers at be in a large corporation to agree to anything was problematic. The availability of space was also limited by network shows and sports events that while they filled the space had little or no value or interest to the local market.

In September 2006 “corporate mentality” again raised it’s ugly head as it was decided that the radio station would cut back on local sports broadcasting opting for more national network shows.

Thus TOTAL SPORTS RADIO.COM was born. A internet “radio station” dedicated to sports news, commentary and events.
